The official PlayStation Blog have posted up the first two concept screens of upcoming Q-Games’ sequel PixelJunk Shooter 2. A full follow-up, Q-Games’ Dylan Cuthbert addressed why we’re getting a complete game and not some DLC to the first well-received spelunker. It’s simple, there’s actually more content in PixelJunk Shooter 2 than what was presented in the first game.
Dylan also promises that the game will be more challenging than the first outing. Something fans of the series’ earlier hard as nails games will undoubtedly be pleased about. Fans of the first game’s awesome score will also be happy, with High Frequency Bandwidth returning to provide even more awesome music for Shooter 2.
If you’re still not convinced about Shooter’s majesty, a demo for the first game will be available on the Store this May 25th.
Finally, those wishing Q-Games would focus on some of their older titles might be interested in the following reply Dylan left on the site. Responding to why Shooter was being revisited and not Monsters, Dylan said:
“I’m sure there will be some more Monsters before too long! We only just released the UMD Deluxe version :)”
