A new interview on PlayStation com with SCE President Shuhei Yoshida has revealed a couple of secrets regarding Gran Turismo 5. He says:
“Not only will Gran Turismo 5 deliver an even more comprehensive set of cars and courses than gamers saw with previous iterations, it will also feature new game-enhancing graphical effects such as damage, night racing and weather.”
“These innovations are twinned with the option to join millions of like-minded individuals globally within the Gran Turismo community and to find a driving experience to suit, whether that is taking on the Top Gear test track, chucking cars around stunt arenas, go-karting, creating and sharing your own track or intense head-to-head races. Who, where and what to drive is completely down to the individual.”
Night driving and damage we knew about, track creation had been rumoured and now it seems confirmed. Stunt arenas and go karting are new, is there anything GT5 won’t be able to do?

Wow. Gt5 is gonna blow us away. You have no idea how many 360 fanboys I know who plan to pounce on a ps3 slim the moment the gt5 bundle arrives. Gt5 will be the turning point for sales figures with the awesome ps3 being a year or so behind. Ps3 is the best console ever. I can’t wait for gt5. I am currently playing gt2 and it still rocks!!!

If the 800 standards cars DO have interiors then these editions are just WOW, always thought go-karting around the nurburgring would be awesome.
If they haven’t got interior models then this is just stupidly pointless.

Also RE: the amount of cars, if it IS only 200 cars with interiors it’s still amazing, how many PS3 games have 200 cars total? None… so 800 on top of that, can’t really complain can you, but the argument still goes regarding this post.
And like other people said, what’s GT6 going to be like,… I thought that was going to be components added into GT5… by the looks of things we’ll get GT6 on the 2nd* of November, so good it misses 5.
