Now that Capcom’s Ninja Theory developed Devil May Cry is officially out of the bag, it’s time to take a look at what all the fuss is about. When we say fuss what we really mean is internet furore over the fact that Dante has been completely redesigned.
Younger (gone is the shock of gray hair) and smoking (literally), watch as New Dante dishes out the hurt to numerous enemies and generally acts the bad-ass. It looks cool. It doesn’t necessarily look like Devil May Cry, but we’re liking the new direction.

Seriously though, this looks really exciting. DMC is a great series, but it was becoming stale, and a shake up is exactly what’s needed.
As long as the game plays well and has a good story, there is nothing to fret about. As much as I enjoy Dante’s white hair look, it’s hardly the reason I enjoyed playing the DMC games in the first place. People need to get some perspective.

Wow! Dante is quite an iconic figure in my eyes, it’s either brave or completely stupid to change him. I agree maybe the franchise needed revitalising, but maybe they should have just made the fresh Dante a completely new character?

anyway the game looks fun, i dont know why they felt the need to slap the DMC brand on it though, as it has been clearly pointed out, it doesnt look or feel like a DMC game. it could have been a completely new franchise.

i can’t completely say this a bad idea (the reboot i mean) but its an interesting take none the less. i won’t truly know until i play it, but it will contend with DMC3 IMHO
