Now that Capcom’s Ninja Theory developed Devil May Cry is officially out of the bag, it’s time to take a look at what all the fuss is about. When we say fuss what we really mean is internet furore over the fact that Dante has been completely redesigned.

Younger (gone is the shock of gray hair) and smoking (literally), watch as New Dante dishes out the hurt to numerous enemies and generally acts the bad-ass. It looks cool. It doesn’t necessarily look like Devil May Cry, but we’re liking the new direction.

    I will still keep hold of Devil May Cry and DMC 3 to remind myself how great it was back then.

  9. Can’t understand why it’s being written off after one CGI trailer.

    • Because Dante is such a cool gaming character the way he was, his personality, looks and fighting style makes him up there as my all time favourite Capcom characters.
      And now, Ninja Theory is going to ruin him entirely. I hope the Sucker Punch event will happen again and force them to change his look. I’m not playing the game as an emo asshole, it’s even painfull to think THAT’S Dante.

        Its a reboot, they’re not going to have him old in a storyline that pre-dates the existing games are they.

      • Yeah, sorry about that. I was in a bad mood even before I put up that comment. I’m working on a projct and it was really tiring.

        But I’m worried about this. I never played any Theory games. But I might give Heavenly Sword a go if it’s any good.

  10. Well, Heavenly Sword is one of my early favourite PS3 games, so I will give it a shoot anyway. The last DMC was not that great anyway, at least this one has some fresh ideas and Ninja Theory might just do it right.
