Well, it’s Wednesday again and that can only mean one thing, yep it’s time for the PSN Store to update bringing with it new games, demos, add-on content, Minis, special offers and other stuff like wallpapers, trailers and themes.
This week we’ve already been blessed with the news that Creat Studio’s Skyfighter will be hitting the store today, and if you’re wondering what it’s all about then head on over to our preview for the lowdown on the unashamedly retro title.
Again, we brought you the news earlier that PlayStation Plus subscribers get some loving in the form of early access to the reportedly fabulous demo of Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow.
Elsewhere on the store we have the discounts from last week continuing (what do you mean you still don’t have Peggle?), the DeathSpank sequel, and Sonic Adventure. What takes your fancy this week?

So Sonic Adventure… Wow I thought and downloaded the ‘classic’ I missed… After 20 minutes play time, I’ve banned myself from buying any retro games on the PS3, they’re always disappointing:-(
DJ-Katy
Buy Space Invaders Infinity Gene, one of the only good retro games I’ve seen on there.
DJ-Katy
Can anyone report on whether any of these are any good?
Blade Kitten
Sky Fighter
Sonic Adventure
DeathSpank 2nd instalment

Blade Kitten is very pretty, in a cell-rendered bobbling anime cut-scene fashion but ultimately the gameplay is pretty much been there done that, from the demo anyway. A mash-up of PSN Bionic gameplay & Crash Commando 2.5D graphics really. Plays ok, but nothing you haven’t experienced before.
I’d stick to Space Invaders Infinity Gene – definitely contender for favourite Trophy award image with “Music Fan.”

Funny you mentioned that, I LOL’d when I got that trophy and saw the icon. Brilliant design.
Typical everyone said Sonic was crap and I bought that one, should’ve gone for Sky Fighter I guess. Got the Blade Kitten demo to try later. Thanks :)

absolutely dj-katy.
i still regularly mash up my vj performances with some old space invader inspired footage!
(and if some spangled promoter decides to rip the proverbial,
i’ll literally actually play it or plasma pong effected thru the edirol.
still seems to go down a treat!)

San Van Skate 3 DLC is brilliant. It’s also unfortunately the last DLC for this game. :-(
Sonic Adventure is pretty shit, but only played it for 20mins.

No Blade Kitten for PriceKitty?

Not much for me this week!

For anyone getting Dead Rising 2 this week there’s 4 pieces of free Dlc that are up on the U.S Psn that the Euro store doesn’t have(yet?).
You can Dl them with a US account but still install them with your Euro account and they don’t activate so it seems their not location locked,i can’t verify that as my copies in the post but i figured it news worth sharing, cheers.
