Price comparison site Twenga has done a Europe wide survey comprising of 3000 people in six countries regarding their thoughts on 3D TV. Only one percent of the UK respondents will be getting a 3D TV this Christmas, although a whopping 48 percent said they would like one.
Cost seems to be the major factor, with 32 percent citing that as a reason for not taking the plunge. Twelve percent claim the technology isn’t ‘up to snuff’, and a frankly shocking 35 percent just aren’t interested at all. The tech geek side of me weeps! One percent of UK respondents didn’t know what 3D TV is. The equivalent figures for France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands tell a similar story.
Does anyone here have a 3D TV? From what I’ve seen so far (games and movies wise) I would love a one, but I’m in the ‘too expensive’ camp at the moment.

Not interested at all by stereoscopic 3D.
Holodecks? Maybe… in 2 or 3 centuries.

My wife just offered to buy me one for Xmas…. am really not sure. The footy looks ace in 3D, but I think we’re better waiting a bit.
She’s really not having a good run with present ideas…she was about to order me an iPad when I told her I though they weren’t up to much!!
