PlayStation Store Brings Festive Treats

It’s Christmas (well, nearly) and Sony have a massive pile of cheap games and deals in their PSN Store sack. Split into publishers, there’s a ridiculous amount of content to get through so we’ll just pick out some highlights, directing your eyeballs to the PlayStation Blog for the full rundown.

First up is a bundle of stuff marked Festive Offers, which includes Alien Breed: Impact for £8.99, the entire pile of Blue Toad Murder Files episodes for £9.99 and the likes of Bomberman Ultra for just four quid. Move favourite Flight Control HD has seen a small drop too, down to £3.19, but it’s Joe Danger that’s the beauty here: down from a tenner to a fiver – a must have summer classic sure to brighten up any snowed in disasters.

There’s some Minis on offer, too – Vibes is £1.74, as is Rocks n’ Rockets, Carnivores, Freekscape and Stellar Attack.

Disney weigh in with the PSP version of Toy Story 3 down to £15.99, EA push out both Deathspank games for £6.29 (from £9.99) and there’s a few PSP games like Shift and Dante’s Inferno on offer too. Namco have the recently released Pac-Man Championship Edition DX for just £5.49 too.

SCEE themselves have some of the best offers – Fat Princess for the price of a Sackboy t-shirt, Pixeljunk Shooter’s £3.19 and JAW’s Gravity Crash is just £3.19 too.

Sonic fans will dig Episode One of Sonic 4 for just £5.49, and Sonic Adventure, the Dreamcast classic, is half price as well at just £3.19, which seems to be the sweet spot for most of these discounts. You can also get After Burner: Climax for £3.99.

Square-Enix are here too – Space Invaders: Infinity Gene is down a couple of quid at £5.49, the latest Lara Croft is £7.19 and Anniversary, Legend and Underworld are all discounted. Likewise, look out for some discounts from Ubisoft – although they’re all PSP games.

  1. Ooh quite a few absolute bargins! I’m worried to get too many though in case they appear on ps+ next year. Hmm.

    • Just as I was going to top up my wallet you have to remind me about my + subscription. What the hell I have waited long enough for Daethspank to drop so I am going for it.

  2. Lots of excellent deals there, this christmas however I am playing Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain.

  3. Awesome! I’ve got a tenner on my account so tonight will be spent trying to decide on what to spend it on…

  4. Space Invaders Infinity Gene is up there with FlOw, Flower & Super Stardust HD as the very best that digital distribution has to offer, buy it!

  5. Some good bargains to be had there!! :)

I think I’ll probably pick up Joe Danger, Lara Croft and the GOL, and Worms 2 Armageddon. I might possibly get Flight Control as well, although I don’t have Move yet, but plan on getting it soon.

I’m also tempted by Ferrari The Race Experience, but I’m wondering how it’ll compare to GT5 which I’m currently addicted to!! ;)

  6. Shame I’m broke.

  7. Will probably pick up a PSN card after Xmas to pick up some of these. I’m tempted by Burn Zombie Burn at that price. What are peoples thoughts on the game. Waste of money or good investment???

  8. I’ll be gettin Joe Danger AND Lara Croft…when do these offers kick in?

  9. joe danger, lara croft and possibly sonic adventure for me! i have £20 store credit burning a hole in my umm… digital wallet.

  10. Lame, PS Store really does suck.

How about giving use the new BFBC2 Vietnam DLC for £5?? >_<

    • PS Store sucks? I see a few games in this post that are very good, maybe give them a go?

    • it dosnt suck, just looks like it lacking alot when compared to 360’s much superior (in my opnion) marketplace. but by no means does it suck.

      • 4 years on, I would have hoped that EVERY PS1 game would be available as a download on PS Store and by now GTA SA would have been on the PS Store in HD remastered but no.

I don’t have an Xbox so I don’t know how the Marketplace is there but PS Store is cr*p.
