‘Enslaved’ Art Director Working On DmC

You may remember our Enslaved review from a few months back, where we were certainly taken by the game’s visual style:

“The first thing you will notice about Enslaved is the striking visual style that has been produced using the Unreal Engine. Gears of War may have coined the phrase ‘Destroyed Beauty’ – but Enslaved takes this to the next level. Cities have been devastated and left for so long that nature has taken over. The juxtaposition of organic and man-made is breathtaking to behold, and on the occasion you get high enough the view of the city makes you stop in awe.”

Well news has surface that Enslaved’s Art Director, Alessandro Tain, will now be working on Ninja Theory’s reboot of the Devil May Cry series.  Titled ‘DmC’, it received quite a poor reaction from fans when a teaser trailer launched back in September.  We are looking forward to seeing where Tain takes the franchise.

  2. Not played Enslaved, HS was cool, but from what I have seen of Enslaved it just didnt excite me.

    What they have done with Dante so far has pretty much shocked me, it looks awful. Pretty gutted to be honest and this comes from someone who has DMC 1 – 4 and DMC3 Special Edition. I was a huge fan so I am hoping that the result is awesome and I am completely wrong with my worries.

  3. Forgive me for being cynical, but doesn’t this piece of news amount to “someone at the developer is working on that developer’s next game?”

    Or am I missing something?

    • The industry is still half asleep from Christmas. God knows I am too. I think this would be classed as “oh, god… news… we have news!!!”. :-)

    • the whole world has slowed down dude. just give it a week or so then we’ll have awesome news with expolsions and all sorts of silly

  6. Can’t wait! Been wanting another DMC game since I finished part 4. I don’t mind Dante’s new look really, Im sure they’ll explain why in the game.

  7. I don’t understand why so many people are having a whine about the new look of Dante. He’s younger and has dark hair. Get a grip. The trailer looked amazing. The worst comment I saw was “no white hair – no sale” . Someone needs to get over himself. I’m personally looking forward to this massively and can’t wait to see where they take and having the enslaved guy on board is a stroke of genius.

  8. so will any female characters in dmc look remarkably like nariko but with a different hairstyle?
