It looks like Angelsign Studios know a little bit about menu design – these mock-ups, presented to Konami as an example of how they’d like Metal Gear Solid: Rising’s UI to look, are wonderful.
“We love video games,” they say. “We also love action. So we took it upon ourselves to pitch for the new Metal Gear Solid game. We designed the logo build for Kojima Productions and the game titles. In addition, we created a few samples of menu design and mood.”
Yes, that’s ‘multiplayer’ but no, that’s not confirmation by any stretch. These are mock-ups.
There’s more, including the logo build-up, over at their site.

Not quite sure how excited I can get over a menu screen, mock up or otherwise!

Can we get them to do some GT5 menu redesigns?
Scythegpd
But that would involve them putting some thought into the GT5 menus. My impression was that they were so absorbed designing some premium cars that they forgot about the other cars (quick, pull them from previous games), AI (if you’re on the racing line your opponents just turn into you and drive in procession because that’s what happens in real life right?) and tracks.
When they realised these were needed they were shoved in at the last minute … and shortly before release realised nobody could actually access these features. Hence the year end delay, they had to hold off the launch to quickly throw in some way to access the content … and lo the GT5 “menu system” was born.

Looks good. Sony should get them to redesign the XMB!

*CYNIC CAP ON*
Any chance these guys got a peek at the menu system being developed and have subsequently thrown this into the public domain so that if the game release they can sue if the menus are in any way similar thus forcing Konami to either pay royalty fees or redesign their menu system? I mean it’s not unheard of for companies nowadays to try make a quick buck through litigation
*CYNIC CAP O … argh … it’s stuck!!!”
