Regular readers will know that we like to keep you informed of what’s going on with the staff of the site. With that in mind, this is just a short post to let you all know about the recent changes to staff and what we think it will mean for the site’s future.
Firstly, I don’t know if we ever introduced Jimmy or Josh when they joined the news team. For that matter, I’m not totally sure if we introduced Dan when he joined. It can’t hurt to say hello to those guys again anyway, right?
We now have another new member of the news team called Matt. He’s based in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Nope, not Runcorn, he’s in America where the streets are paved with… well, tarmac and concrete I think.
The new additions to the news team enable us to not only post more news more quickly but they give us another dimension. You’ll also notice that Matt is putting stories up in the middle of the night. That’s the middle of the night, UK time. For Matt it’s early evening because America lives a few hours in the past. It’s baffling.
We still keep our roster of regular contributors too so that we can cover as much review and feature content as possible. We’ve pared back on numbers so that the contributor’s list reflects those that regularly contribute but we always accept submissions as long as the standard is high enough quality and we think the subject will be interesting to our readership.
We’ve also added two of our Community Team members to the staff roster as both AG2297 and teflon become Community Coordinators with the same remit as Colin has had. Basically, they will be overseeing all of the TSA-approved community events and feeding back the information about them to you.
While we’re on that subject, there are exciting new community features on the way. Alex is currently in hardcore coding mode and when we’re a little closer to completion we’ll be talking a bit more about what we’re planning and how we hope the new tools will be put to good use.
So that’s where we are right now. We’re always on the look out for new talent to add to our team and we’re always open to applications (my email address is on the staff page), especially from quality news writers with expertise in and knowledge of the Xbox 360, Nintendo and PC/Mac platforms.

Its good to see TSA still explanding and evolving. Still my number one site, and has been, well since forever ;)
Grey_Ghost13
Hello to the newbies and the Amercian (is it offensive to call you a Yank?), anyway, looking forward to even more news stories and the community upgrades you’ve mentioned!
xdarkmagician
nope! :)
xdarkmagician
don’t know why there’s a ! at the end
bully1990
Howdy (that’s American for hello I think). Good to see TSA doing their bit to improve the ‘special relationship’.
Origami Killer

We need to lay down some rules Matt. First, it’s spelt colour, not color.
Grey_Ghost13
And Centre not Center!

God… I remember both of those causing me grief in my old programming days! – and words with unnecessary Z’s in.
colossalblue
I told him I wouldn’t mind the odd US spelling and he can use “Z” in words like “organise” if he wants but I’ll be pronouncing it “zed”.
I wonder how much more of our cheekiness he’ll put up with before he throws all our tea in the river and declares independence?
Grey_Ghost13
I spat my tea all over the screen reading that!
New avatar colossalblue? Me likes.
YOURMUMANDME
Do those people over there drink tea, isn’t it like a mild coffee to to them ?
Don’t dunk your Oreos in chamomile/tchai tea Matt, it’s just not the same…. ; )
kevatron400
Haha, not often a comment gets an out loud laugh from me (I’m a grumpy bastard, see), but that one definitely did.
mynameisblair
Don’t be fooled, he’s not got a new avatar; it’s just the one he had before he went all Chrismassy.
Now, I’ve got a new avatar ;)
Raen
TRICERATOPS. Fear the avatar.

Welcome to all new staff , I pray Tsa doesn’t become to much 360 based or we could be inundated with stupid fanboy arguments. I like the way it is now , about 90% Ps3 based and then little snippets of wii and 360 news for the ps3 owners rich enough to own more than one console.
Kovacs
Just to mention, TSA really isn’t 90% PS3/10% the rest. There is still a strong focus on Sony hardware but it’s a lot closer in terms of a balanced ratio than 9:1.
As for fanboy arguments, we won’t tolerate them no matter the news coverage spread. There are plenty of sites out there that foster a belligerent attitude for partisan console zealots to throw mud on. They’re welcome to spend their time there. Rest assured TSA will never go that way.
BIGAL-1992
Hear hear. Hate fanboys and their unnecessary bullshit.

Welcome and it’s Jack Daniels for me my favourite drink. Would love to go to Tennesse =D
Looking forward to news/updates on all consoles/platforms – particulary PS3 and Xbox 360 also PSP too (All three which I own except Kinect – sadly not enough space)

Hello and welcome Jimmy, Josh, Dan and Matt!
kevatron400
Welcome y’all (that’s American for everybody – these jokes will never get old – or funny).
bunimomike
Welcome to everyone who’s joined over the last few months. Hope you all have a fantastic time working for TSA. Biscuits look like coins if you squint hard enough and stand well back. :-)
