Crysis 2 Demo Is Xbox Exclusive

EA has revealed PC-exclusive Crysis’ sequel will be getting a multiplayer demo next week – exclusive to Xbox 360.

In a move that has unsurprisingly led to some rage-filled (yet amusing) comments from PC gamers who are big fans of the franchise over on NeoGAF, the demo will be released next Tuesday for Xbox Live Gold members and will feature two modes (Team Instant Action and Crash Site) on the game’s Skyline map.

There’s no word of any demo before or after launch for the other two platforms, but the full game will be released on 360, PC, and PS3 on March 25th.

  1. Oh no.
    Without a SINGLE-PLAYER demo, there’s no chance of me shelling out the money for a copy of this until I see it dirt cheap.
    I don’t have a PC capable of playing Crysis, so as far as I’m concerned this is just another shooter I’m not overly excited about.

  4. What will the next 10 years hold if developers give exclusivity to a demo!? I shudder to think…..

  5. I would’ve been more interested in buying the game if the demo was avilable on PSN, but seems like one won’t be released. With so many great exclusives this year I can’t see myself picking it of the shelf when it comes out.

  6. this is basically a middle finger to PC gamers who brought the first 1. What is the point of an exclusive demo? That’s not going to sell consoles. Is this one of MS’s unannouced exclusives.:OP

  8. This isn’t really that foolish a move, its not much different from releasing exclusive DLC. It’s not uncommon for a game to not have a demo at all, I’m sure prerelease chatter and reviews (along with pretty packaging) are the main factors that shift a game.

    • mate it not clever doing this with demos when there on all 3 platforms maybe PS3 version is not as good.
