New Crysis 2 Multiplayer Footage

Other than some very early pre-alpha footage, in-game multiplayer videos for Crysis 2 have been somewhat hard to come by. Before today, that is.  New videos are popping up all over the web and today we’ve two of them, courtesy of GameTrailers.  The first shows some footage of the multiplayer map titled ‘streets,’ while the second shows a different map called ‘rooftops.’  Have a look below to see how it’s shaping up.  Also, don’t forget that if you have an Xbox 360, you’ll be able to check this game out for yourself via the demo this week.

  1. Looking good apart from a couple of times there looked like a real lack of feedback when shooting someone. The people didn’t look like they were being pelted with bullets in what I’d class a “Borderland’s Syndrome”. Then again, they are wearing kick-ass armoured nanosuits so maybe it’s meant to be like that.

Whatever, what matters is that this looks amazing and the potential for diverse gameplay is fantastic.

    • I’d guess that that was supposed to happen. That suit looks pretty tough indeed. It wouldn’t look right if every bullet punctured a lung .

    • Yeah, I think they look too bullet-spongy. I know they have armor and all, but when I shoot someone I want them to go down.

  2. Boomer….

  3. “Streets” and “Rooftops”, some genius names those are… At least people won’t be asking what map it is.

  4. Nothing is really jumping out at me to be honest, I watch every new video that comes out for the game and it doesnt wow me. Don’t think i’ll be buying unless a mate buys it and after playing theirs I enjoy it.

  5. Kinda reminds me of Mirror’s Edge

  6. looks very good, bit of free running, fps and some cool invisible stuff, but was it me or was that guy awful or does it take quite a fw bullets to kill people

  7. the graphics are stunning, loved the part during the rooftop vid he walks throught the spurting water and washes over your vision, was prety cool looking. i love shooters (except COD) and this seems to be shaping up to be a good one. i’ll defo check this out.

  8. I played the demo last night… and it felt “clunky” to me. Not sure how better to describe. There are some neat features, but when engaging an enemy… it just doesn’t feel right.
