PSN Store Update: 26/01/11

The humungous January Sale takes up most of the space on this week’s PSN Store Update. There are one or two other items of note though.

For those of you who are exclusively PS3 gamers (or don’t pay for Gold Live on an Xbox 360), the Bulletstorm demo is going up. This is a manic, self-aware, pleasingly violent romp from the studio that made the Gears franchise for Xbox 360.

The other high point is probably the Trial and Unlock for Dead Space: Extraction, the Move-powered on-rails Wii port which has apparently converted very well into a higher definition.

  1. I grabbed the Bulletstorm demo and Dead Space Extraction trial from the US last night, looking forward to giving them a blast

    • any news on where the gay tony/damned GTA IV bundle is on the uk psn? wasn’t there last week and still isn’t there today (yet)

      • no need, it’s finally there, ain’t played GTA for a long time :)

just played Bulletstorm, hmm, it’s not bad, but the audio is horrible, it’s one of those games where they think maxing out the audio levels is the thing to do.

I did like the line, “hey dick tits, this game ain’t gonna pre-order itself”

    • yeahh i saw too that the GTA bundle wasn’t on the store…=(
gonna grab bulletstorm demo too… and the extraction demo, will be getting it with dead space 2 on friday…=)

    • extraction has a slow and off putting first couple of levels but once you get to chapter three i found things really kicked off. well worth picking up i’d say.

  2. Might spring for a Turkey Flag theme ;). Just bulletstorm demo for me, Know nothing about it so im quite excited!

  3. Tried the Bulletstorm demo yesterday for a short moment. Not bad at all.

  4. Not a lot here for me, mainly because I scoured the US store this morning. The Bulletstorm demo is highly recommended; haven’t had such a blast for free.

  5. Wow thats rare for the PSP and Playstation I guess

  6. £8 for Tomb Raider?!?!

  7. Anyone know what the DLC for Dead Space 2 is?

    • Lots of different suits to try out. 3 different packs of them.

      • The usual EA DLC crap. Expensive drivvel which has no actual bearing on the gameplay experience

      • Actually, I found the DLC for Dead Space to be quite handy at certain times in the game.

      • yes BigAl. The DLC for DS1 was actually quite useful, if a little overpriced.

  8. Bulletstorm demo for me, and I’m done. :P I thought it was a pretty lame update myself.

  9. Bulletstorm demo and Dead Space extraction trial for me.

Also, I refuse to pay £8 for a PS1 game. Classic or not.

    • Final Fantasy is ok at £7.99 but Tomb Raider meh not worth it

  10. Hopefully the GTA IV pack will be put onto the store this time, last Friday it wasn’t updated…..

    • ?

      What pack?

      • There was going to be a double pack for the DLC of ‘The Lost & The Damned’ & ‘The Ballad Of Gay Tony’ for a one-off special price of £15.99 It was due last Friday but it didn’t materialize. Perhaps today?

      • it’s there now :)

    • yeah I know, I keep looking for it, but it’s never there, only the 2 separate packs £13.99 and £7.99 been thinking of getting the bundle since I’ve only ever played about a quarter of the Lost and Damned pack back on the 360, would be nice to have both for that price…(although if they wanted to make it £9.99 I’d be happier ;))
