There has been a lot of community content on the front page of TheSixthAxis recently, so much that it’s very easy to miss something. So to make life a little easier for you, here’s a quick round up of everything that’s going on (and don’t forget, you can always use the Community link in the left hand menu!).
Gran Turismo 5 has been getting a lot of attention from our community team since its launch and it doesn’t appear to be stopping. Manorhowze, TSA’s resident driving god came up with with an interesting competition for TSA’s car nuts earlier on this week. Using GT5’s photo mode, Teflon has taken pictures of 15 premium cars and is asking you to guess what they are. For the past few days there has been a set of 3 cars with 3 different pictures of varying difficulty for each posted on TSA with the final set coming up tomorrow. After tomorrow’s set you have until 11PM on Sunday to send in your answers for all 15 cars. “But I don’t know much about cars” I hear you say. Well, why not take a look through the GT5 menus and see what cars you think Teflon would have gone for?
GT5 isn’t for everyone though, we like to cover as many types of game as we can with our competitions and what game could handle more genres than LittleBigPlanet 2? To kick off our support for this impressive title we have set up a score challenge for the level Tower of Whoop. Just get as high a score as you can and email it to Teflon before 11PM on Sunday, no pictures required! The winner will receive their very own Sackbot figure, which stands at a mighty 3 inches tall, and a nice handful of TSA points.
PlayStation Home might not receive as much praise as it possibly deserves but there’s a group of TSA’ers that love Sony’s social network. GTOWN has been organising meets for months and has now prepared a quiz based on the various spaces around Home and the activities you can participate in around them. There are 15 questions that you need to find the answers for. Once you have all 15, email them to AG2297 (adam[at]tsa2[dot]org) and cross your fingers that you were one of the first to enter. The two week entry deadline is coming up so you’ll have to hurry if you want to enter. If you’re not a Home regular however, why not take this opportunity to see what you’re missing. Killzone fans will also want to visit the Central Plaza while they are there, as the battle between the Helghast and the ISA rages on in an entertaining FPS mini-game. I’ve given you two reasons to visit Home so go give it another try.
If you’re not a competitive person and just fancy a friendly online game with other TSA’ers, then TSA Meets are perfect for you. TSA members with over 500 points can instantly set up their own community games on a variety of titles from Assassin’s Creed to Need for Speed. Let’s take a look at what the community are planning for the next seven days.
First up tonight is a small meet for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. 8 places are open for this meet which will include a “Bit of everything” with the killing commencing at 8PM tonight. Tomorrow sees an almost packed meet for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at 7PM. Perhaps the recent Uncharted 3 news and NGP demonstration has revived interest in Naughty Dog’s masterpiece, I’m starting to regret trading it in myself. Then at 9PM we have a Bioshock 2 meet organised by sanmartinez who is recommending you “Check the forum for more info”. You should probably check the forums for more info, then.
Finishing off the relatively small amount of meets next week is Red Dead Redemption on Monday night at 9PM. Four of the spaces are filled already so get your name down now. If nothing here takes your fancy then set up your own Meet for whatever game you like, with whatever rules you want. You are in control!
As you can see, it’s a busy week for us. We also have the finals of our massive F1 Championship tonight and tomorrow, the results of which will be up on the site next week so keep an eye out for those and let us know in the comments below who you are cheering on.
Get participating and I’ll see you next week!

Gotta love the TSA community team. The time and effort put in by the guys (and gals?) is impressive. I’ve not been around here very long but everything I’ve taken part in has been great, professional organisation and a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Keep up the great work people! It is most certainly appreciated.

We did Black Ops zombies last night, it was DrNate86, blackredyellow, Grey_Ghost and myself. We realised how great team effort we made on these Zombies and strategy hell we felt very comfortable helping out far better than randoms who would run and dive or spamming grenades at me or slashing knife. It’s not fun at all. TSA community is the best thing when it come’s to online. My 1st community was Burnout Paradise had a huge fun on that. Great times.
Huge thanks ;)
Grey_Ghost13
Was great fun and added that extra level of enjoyment knowing we were all doing it for a common cause – The TSA Trophy Whores!!! Most fun I’ve had online for a long time!
Big thanks and Thumb Up from me!
Grey_Ghost13
Another great thing about us doing the Zombies together that I’ve just remembered, is that we will all be getting a Platinum each which will be added to Flexible’s ongoing Trophy Leaderboard and the new 2011 Platinum Collection! – another great TSA community addition.
Big thanks to Flexible and all of the TSA Community!
Crazy_Del
Yes Flexxible put all of his hard work and dedication, I’d buy this guy a pint for this big thumbs up to Flexx and to others for finding time to organise a meet, friend reqeust and text chat. Ah text chat had great time texting as I can’t use mics, teflon being the funniest on F1 aswell as other TSA. Wish it can send a pizza or something I owe teflon a piece it’s still in the box dated 12 November 2010, don’t know if it’s expired yet though?
teflon
I was wondering when you were going to send me that pizza, I’m getting hungry!

On a community related note, a few of us TSAers are hooking up for a drink in London town this evening if anyone can make it. The forum thread is here:

I like the idea but sadly I’m from Glasgow. I wonder if any TSA would like to join a pub in Glasgow as I know there’s 1 or 2 (maybe more) are from Glasgow, somewhere in time lol.
shields_t
That sure is a long way to come for a pint!
SpikeyMikey23
I’ll be in Glasgow on the 19th feb. Going for a kilt fitting in the morning, then all day boozing, Cant wait! (I have mates who live in carluke)
Crazy_Del
Saturday but isn’t that not the PS3 beta room in Glasgow on that weekend because if it is, I’m there then boozing in Wetherspoons, to Rufus and then the Cathouse or the Garage, until 3am. =D
SpikeyMikey23
Not sure del, if it is, then im sure we’ll pop in and take a look, i’ll make you buy me beer if i find you ;) haha
Crazy_Del
With the name Crazy oh yes you will spot me no problem, probably walk away if you saw me doing something, oh I don’t know crazy perhaps ;P lol.
Roynaldo
would have loved to but the 350 mile round trip is a bit of a bummer. How about a Midlands meet?
Jas-n
I thought folding was community related as well, I mean it is collaborative.
Colinbarr66
It is but it I didn’t cover it as it isn’t a TSA event or a Meet. I’ll mention it next week with a few other things.
Jas-n
But it is community ;), well next week the stats will be updated, so can link to them :).
tonyyeb
Done my first couple of WUs for the TSA folding so the word is getting out.
Colinbarr66
Yes and the point of this post was to highlight the community events we have finishing and to bring attention to TSA Meets people are organising. If folding@home is worth talking about next week then it’ll be in the post.
sanmartinez
Also did about 40 WU’s this month
solidsteven
I tried to do one of these in the forums a few months back but i failed. Noone can do these as the same standard as you can. How come you didn’t take this a chance to encourage more users to join the forums?
do you plan to keep on doing these weekly or is this a one off?
Colinbarr66
Weekly. I’ll direct people over to the forums next week if anything comes up.
