Community Round-Up: 15/10/2010

It’s Friday! You know what that means don’t you? Yes, it’s time to take a look at what’s been going on in our lovely community.

We’ve been giving F1 2010 a lot of attention recently and rightly so, it’s a fantastic game that has captured the interest of the TSA community. Last Saturday we announced the results of our F1 Time Trial Challenge and it turned out to be the closest competition we have ever run. Manorhowze took the victory over cam the man by just 0.001 seconds and, in comparison, had a comfortable 0.036 second lead over 3rd place JamboGT. Thus claiming a £5 Amazon voucher and the glory of being the fastest TSA driver around the Singapore circuit.

So, Manorhowze took the win in our time trial, but could he keep up the good in our massive TSA Championship? The answer was, of course, yes. Manor took the victory in Championship 1 while JamboGT made up for his atrocious performance in the time trial by taking the victory in the Championship 2 race. Then in Championship 3 it was SuperJag86 who put in a great performance to take the win over myself. Congratulations to all the winners of round 1, the tracks for round 2 and 3 have been announced in the results post so check it out.

Another new competition also got underway this week. The draw for the first round of our Xbox 360 FIFA 11 Tournament was announced with some interesting fixtures coming out. All fourteen participants have until 11PM this Sunday to play and submit the results of their matches to Roynaldo. If you haven’t contacted your opponent yet to organise your match, do it now. We want every fixture to be played so the best player, ultimately, does win.

That’s all we’ve got going on, but what have you lot been organising? Tonight we have the weekly Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Bioshock 2 meets. Battlefield starts at 7PM while Bioshock gets going at 9PM. There are a lot of spaces in both of these meets so get them filled. Tomorrow we celebrate Uncharted 2’s first birthday with a meet commencing at 7PM. This party is already fully booked but if enough people put their name down in the reserve list, another game might get going.

An hour later at 8PM we have the weekly F1 2010 practice session which is a perfect opportunity for our championship contenders to learn every bump on the track and perfect their car setup. There are only 12 places open for this one so get your name down quick to guarantee your spot. Then on Sunday we have the regular ModNation Racers meet at 6PM. Again, only 12 spaces are available so add some polish to your track and sign up. At 9PM we are all invited to Kitch’s nightclub for a few laughs in PlayStation Home, then on Wednesday there is a Borderlands meet at 8 for only 4 players; expect this one to fill up fast.

That’s about all we have for this week, we want to see all those meets listed above, and any others you organise, to be filled so make sure you sign up for at least one event over the next seven days.

See you all in a week!

      • It does.

      • I take it for a good 3 mile walk twice a day, that’s probably the reason why.
