New L.A. Noire Gameplay Video: Investigation & Interrogation

Focusing on two of any detective’s essential skills – investigation and interrogation – Rockstar have sent over a new video showcasing L.A. Noire’s immersive and hyper-realistic world.

Watch as men in big hats and silly suits look for telltale facial cues and other revealing details when questioning suspects and witnesses, while also getting an insight into how the probing of crime scenes within the game will be presented.

The new footage (embedded below) is comprised entirely of in-game footage.

  1. I can’t wait for this game!
Everything about it looks perfect, including the different cases.

  2. Looks fantastic, the facial animation are incredible, May 20th isn’t far away now!

  3. Did anybody else notice Matt Parkman from Heroes?

    • Yeah, fun that Greg Grunberg is in the game.

      • I missed it way back when he announced he was in the game, any other “names” featured?

    • Was just about to post the same thing.

    • The barman at 1:19 is one of the guys in Mad Men and the “gangster” in the restaurant who is going to lose his temper is in quite a few films.

      • In fact, I’m pretty sure the main guy is in Mad Men too…

    • yeah thats awesome. i also noticed another actor from Mad Men here as well.

  4. Want, want, want, would type something more profound and interesting but I’m a little giddy with excited.

    • Me too. It’s very rare I get properly excited about anything really but this game looks so perfect for my tastes, I’m looking forward to it so much.

It looks a brilliant one for multiple play-throughs too possibly and definitely a great game for some excellent DLC.

I’m beginning to think I should stop watching these videos because I don’t want to ruin it for myself.

      • The DLC could almost be endless given the amount of potential scenarios, even real case crime files would be sweet.

      • moshi, from what I can remeber reading a while ago the cases already in the game are based on real crimes that happened in that era.

      • These guys look like they could make great DLC versions of something like LA Confidential, Black Dahlia and Zodiac.

Is that right Heedbaw? That would lend an element of natural tension knowing you were investigating something true, albeit without consequences.

      • Good to hear, Truth is always stranger than fiction.

  5. Dunno what it is but I’m really not convinced about this game.

  6. Very interested in this game. Is it general concensus that this will be a GTA/RDR with puzzle solving mechanic attached?

  7. Im so hyped for this !

  8. 2:19, is the guy who was the policeman in Heroes playing that guy? Looks just like him.

    Anyway, looks awesome!

  9. That game looks *fucking* amazing!

    • opps, thought the swear filter would catch that -,-

      • Swear Filter must be hyped about the game too.

  10. I just can’t stop looking at the animations of there faces, can’t wait for this to come out.
