Warner Bros. has announced that Batman: Arkham City will be released on October 18th in North America, October 19th in Australia, and October 21st in Europe. As you may remember, Arkham City came in at number 16 in our top 100 games of 2011 list. To say that we’re excited about the sequel would be an understatement.
The world of Arkham City is stated to be five times larger than Arkham Asylum’s and is set right in the heart of Gotham City. Some of the villains confirmed so far include Two-Face, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Hugo Strange, and The Joker.

Thank the great minds behind game rentals for this year’s amazing games. I never got the first one but borrowed it from a friend this time last year and although my time with it was short thanks to my love of FFXIII it was a super game albeit one which someone who didn’t care for batman could very easily critisize.

Looking forward to this as I thoroughly enjoyed the first. The only slight worry for me from reading previews is the heavy use of detective mode compared to the original, which I thought was overdone a little.
