Warner Bros. has announced that Batman: Arkham City will be released on October 18th in North America, October 19th in Australia, and October 21st in Europe. As you may remember, Arkham City came in at number 16 in our top 100 games of 2011 list. To say that we’re excited about the sequel would be an understatement.
The world of Arkham City is stated to be five times larger than Arkham Asylum’s and is set right in the heart of Gotham City. Some of the villains confirmed so far include Two-Face, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Hugo Strange, and The Joker.

There does seem to be quite a few blockbuster games out that month! So far (in no particular order…) I make it Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Batman: Arkham City, BFBC3… Any others?

This is a day 1. I didn’t like the special Edition that I saw but bought the 3D edition though. I wonder what this will involve.

I’m really looking forward to this. Totally loved the first game, except the ending, but if rocksteady have made that better i can’t see any faults whatsoever. Clever releasing it before uncharted 3 too because thats going to walk the floor for sales I imagine
