SCEE’s ‘Welcome Back Programme’ Detailed

Here we go...

A post on the EU PS Blog has gone into detail as to what gamers can expect from Sony once the PlayStation Store has been restored, which we’re assuming will be towards the end of the month.

First up you can choose two of the following PS3 titles:

And PSP owners can choose two of the following:

In addition there will be 30 days free PlayStation Plus for those who have yet to subscribe, and 60 days free for those who are already signed up. Music Unlimited subscribers will get 30 days free.

Of course, there are a few terms and conditions:

  1. “For eligibility for the welcome back programme consumers must be an account holder on 20 April 2011. Specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live. All existing PSN registrants have 30 days from when the welcome back programme goes live to redeem their content.
  2. For the German market, InFamous and Dead Nation will be replace with Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings in the selection of PS3 games.
  3. For the German market, Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation will be replaced with Everybody’s Golf 2 and Buzz Junior Jungle Party in the selection of PSP games. Killzone Liberation will not offer online gameplay functionality.
  4. Access to the 30 days free PS Plus subscription is only available for those countries where PS Plus is offered. You will have access to the PS Plus content planned for May for 30 days. Access to the free games and exclusive features finishes at the end of the 30-day subscription period. Anything you buy with exclusive discounts, dynamic themes and premium avatars are yours to keep forever.”

Happy?

Update: The page has been removed from the European blog.

  1. Getting me Quest for Booty and Dead Nation – the only two titles on the list I haven’t got but have been thinking about getting for a while =]

  2. i;m actually over the moon if thats correct, between my son and i we’d be able to get 4 of them so more than happy :)

  3. I own everything on the PS3 list :( even if I don’t own a PSP, do you think I’ll will be able to download LBP PSP and Killzone Lib for my inevitable NGP purchase?

Still it has to be said that they are giving away 3 massive PS3 games (Ratchet and Dead Nation are just decent in my book) Props to Sony for that.

    • Most likely you’ll see the PSP welcome package from a PSP only.

    • If its still on the download list then it should appear on the NGP (if its the same)

  4. I have every game on the ps3 list, I guess I could download Lbp and infamous save me having to keep the discs.
As for psp already have Lbp I’ll probably get modnation and killzone already have killzone but on umd so I can finally play it on my Go.

  5. Not happy!

Got them all, so pointless for me this welcome back thing. They could have had more choice to try and cater for more people!

    • Not every devolepers want to give away their games for free!!! You will still get psn + and if you already got infamous or little big planet on disc you could trade in them and get a little money.

      • Except you’ll have to be quick or you won’t get much for them as a lot of people will be thinking of doing the same.

  6. I’m in the same situation, I have all the games being offered.

I don’t know if I should trade it LBP and Infamous and have the digital copies, probably wouldn’t get much for them mind. Something to think about I guess.

  7. Can non-PSP owners download two free games?

  8. Actually, I’d really like flower to be there, as that’s a game I’ll be getting regardless… Oh well.

  9. No Warhawk, Sony? Really?

    • They removed the post, they might be re-thinking it =)

      • as long as Dead Nation is still in that list!!!

      • Yeah, personally i would like to see Ratchet & Clank removed & replaced for Warhawk as it would fit much better with the other games offered (to go along with length & the fact that the rest all have platinum trophies) & would give it a bit of a boost in players to get them ready for Starhawk.

Actually seems like a no-brainer to me now that i have put it like that! :)

    • Thought that was a given too :(
Looking at Dead Nation and .. I’ll decide the other with a random click of the controller. (as I’ve had all of those at one point or other anyway)

Fingers crossed for an updated list including Warhawk!

  10. Had my fingers crossed for Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines, but oh well, Dead Nation and Wipeout HD it is. It makes sense really, Sony wouldn’t be able to distribute games which aren’t 1st/2nd party.
