If you haven’t heard already, Sony are re-releasing a number of PSP titles for the PlayStation 3, sporting all-new HD visuals and exclusive bonus content. The only game which has been confirmed so far for the new “Remastered” series is Capcom’s 2010 best-seller, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, which now carries the subtitle, “HD Version.”
The PlayStation 3 port is looking fantastic, rounding off the rough edges yet still retaining Monster Hunter’s vibrant colour palette. Hopefully it won’t be too long before GoW: Ghost of Sparta, MGS: Peacer Walker, and other PSP spectaculars start making their way to the big screen.

To me this PS3 port seems to be just an upscaled version of the PSP game (the PS3 graphics, while still colourful and very visual are still harsh)
as if they took the PSP game and stuck it on a TV.
Now im not saying it doesn’t look impressive (because it looks amazing on both systems and now i actually have a chance to finally play it) but im struggling to say its Monster Hunter HD
(Monster Hunter enlarged, sure, but id still want to see a PS3 MH game created from the ground up just for the PS3)
still, id love to see more PSP games on the PS3.
mainly God of War: Chains of Olympious because while i did complete the main story, i could never finish the challenge mode because of the PSPs somewhat tacky buttons.
(and dont get me started on those quick time events)

This will be good because I might be able to play it with other players! I know there is ad-hoc party for PSP but I’m looking forward to playing this on the PS3 with minimal fuss.
