Sony’s ‘Welcome Back’ Pack Now Live

Sony’s promised ‘Welcome Back’ package is now live. PS3 owners will be able to choose two PS3 games from a list of five, and PSP owners can choose two PSP games from a list of four.

For PS3 owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section in the PlayStation Store, and select 2 titles from the following list:

  • Dead Nation
  • inFAMOUS
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
  • Wipeout HD + Fury

For PSP owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section of PlayStation Store on your PSP system and select 2 titles from the following list:

  • LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
  • ModNation Racers
  • Pursuit Force
  • Killzone Liberation

Those wanting to get their 30 days free PlayStation Plus need to go to the PlayStation Store and under the ‘Welcome Back’ section, select ‘PlayStation Plus: 30 Days Free’, and you’ll be given access. Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers won’t need to do anything, and their 60 free days will be added automatically.

PlayStation Network users will also get a large number of free virtual items in PlayStation Home, with more information on that available in the near future.

A selection of “On Us” movie rentals are currently available to PlayStation Network customers this weekend only, where Video Service is available.

  1. now the psn is apparently undergoing maintenance.
    luckily i got dead nation downloaded, i was hoping to try out modnation psp though.
    ah well, maybe later.
    and the blog doesn’t seem to be working either.

    • ok, the store’s up on media go, but the welcome back section is empty.
      still no MNR yet then. :(

  3. The store is geeking off for me too so I will try at a later date when it has all calmed down.

    • Managed to start downloading Dead Nation and Ratchet and Clank. The store is still having a mere and wont let me back in to get the 30 days of plus, so that can wait a while.

    Wipeout (No Fury)

    Dead Nation looks pretty poor and I’ve never been a fan of Ratchet and Clank.

  5. Bye bye broadband limit (again)!

    • Now a kindly soul has posted that InFamous is 7GB – one I was after – I wonder what the size of WipEout HD etc will be? I got stung last month when the PSN came back up as I could then sort out Steam and get Portal 2 for my PC – which I did. 9GB or so later and my broadband limit with BT (10GB) was squeaking, and I had two weeks to go. The worst thing is that I knew my PC wouldn’t be able to run Portal 2 properly but at least I would be able to see it – too much for my (£150 in its day) graphics card to even display the title screen; I could hear the sound effects but that was all. Luckily my PS3 runs P2 perfectly…

    • The only cure…. is unlimited, although BT throttled that every night, bastards

    • You should try PlusNet. Their download limits don’t apply between midnight and 8am so if you queue downloads for then, you can have as much as you like!

    • You still have download caps in XXI century? Oh my…
      My 120mbps/10mbps cable connection with no download caps says hi! ;)

  6. I was able to get my PS+ and start downloading Burnout, but when I was trying to get the free games, the welcome pack just disapeared, I guess a lot of people were trying to download it focing Sony to remove it or something.

    • Downloaded Burnout but it’s taking an age to install.Is this normal?

  8. infamous and ratchet it is then. I already have the incredible Wipeout fury. I’ve yet to watch them films tho so them too.

  10. Whooooooo… s’gonna take aaaaaages. I keep getting “An error has occurred” Dead Nation is downloading but WipeOut is fafing about.
