Just over a month ago, Valve released Volume 1 of the Portal 2 soundtrack. We’ve been sitting around in TSA Towers listening to it non-stop, wondering when the second Volume would arrive.
Well, here we are again. Valve have released the second Volume now, so head right over to the official website, perhaps you could fling yourself with a handy aerial faith plate this time.
Sadly, the soundtrack doesn’t yet contain the game’s ending theme ‘Want You Gone’, but we can hope Valve are saving that for Volume 3. There’s a lot of recognisable stuff in there, though.
If you listen to ‘Halls of Science’, ‘Music of the Spheres’ or ‘You Will Be Perfect’ and don’t recall moments in the game when you give them a listen, then you’ve obviously not played Portal 2 enough.
Also available is a host of new ringtones to make your smartphone even more smart, including a number of sounds from the game itself. Oh, and it’s free once again, so there’s really no excuse. Go get it.

once again it reminds me of the work daft punk did for tron legacy.
it’s a great soundtrack, with quite a variety of themes.
from the quick trippy stuff to slower tracks.
like the ethereal sounding robot ghost story, that one almost sounds like whale song.
going on my ipod right now. (^_^)

I loved the Tron Legacy Soundtrack, was so cool. I prefer it far more than any other daft punk stuff, wish they’d do more like it..

well, disney are apparently going forward with another tron sequel, hopefully they’ll get them to do more music for that.
