Modern Warfare 3 continues its quest for global dominance with this trailer for the cooperative multiplayer mode. Spec Ops is a kind of two-man survival mode which pits you and your teammate against an enemy onslaught.

It’s looking good and in the lead up to the big showdown with EA and Dice’s Battlefield 3, you’d be foolish to bet against a series with this much brand recognition.

  1. I watched it about 3 times last night when the vid went up, it looks soo good!
    The ‘Air Support Armoury’ looks amazing, you can call in a Delta Squad like in the video, or even a Riot Shield Squad!
    Also like the look of how kills give you money which you can then spend on Kill Streaks, seems like a better way rather than just pre-setting what you want your killstreaks to be.

    • plus all day1 mp maps usable in spec ops, not sure about dlc maps.

    • And unlike Zombies you can give your partner $500….useful for when they’ve been down.

    • Ive just watched it 3 times in a row to take everything in. it looks mental. its going to be great fun! Shame I dont get infinte respawns in real life. I’d be down in riot town right now, teabagging some tart! haha

  2. Is it just me or do the graphics look a little dated in that video?

    • Dated I’d say not, but far too familiar territory IMO, half the footage was looking down a sight at dead centre of the screen, firing at a black smudge for +150.

      • actually changed my mind, watched again and it’s not all black smudge, and the XP amounts vary… still, it’s another very good another COD, like the last ones, with another new feature list. More excited by Battlefield 3.

    • Always hard to tell with utube, a psn version would be nice to see.

  4. Looks an incredible amount of fun! Can’t wait to deploy my own Juggernaut.
    What was that thing at the end? It said an AC-130 killed the guy in the killfeed but it looked like some sort of bouncing betty-C4-thing.

    • Love those endings, as in mw2, when rob bowling(fourzerotwo) pops his head up & gets sticky bombed.

    Can’t wait for this. Anything with quotes such as “Enemy attack dogs near your position, be advised they are carrying explosives” and “Team, chemical agents have been detected in your area” has got me interest.

        Glad Commando perk has gone, and I notice Extreme Conditioning is back. I hope it replaces Marathon as no one can run constantly! Now just hope they get rid of quick-scoping so it’s back to being a little more realistic and I’ll be a happy bunny.

      • I love em both! I have enough money for both and I will get both. Just a shame I dont have much time anymore!

      • Yeah, my wife and I had a baby last year so I won’t be going to 10th Prestige this time…but will instead try and complete most of the challenges! And there are so many good games coming out later part of the year.

      • If you can get used to hcore modes, q.scoping is pretty much non-existent, due to removal of crosshairs.

  8. Never got on with CoD online – way to floaty light, this looks the same

    • What does that even mean, lol!

    • the conrols and the way your character moves. doesn’t feel like anyones there. just feels like your looking through a screen

      • Not really, as i am inclined to agree – I much prefer the weightier movement of KZ or BF if i am honest.

  10. I hope that juggernaut isn’t in multiplayer. I will be giving it a miss if it is. I’m not wasting my ammo and time taking them out.
