Codemasters has announced that a playable demo for upcoming OTT first person shooter Bodycount is now ready for download on Xbox Live.
Developed by the Guildford Studio and previously backed by game designer Stuart Black, co-creator of last-gen cinematic shooter Black, Bodycount throws any sense of self-importance out of the window in favour of pure ballistic action.
Set in the early stages of Bodycount’s African missions, [during the demo] players will assume the role of a Network Operative dropped into a chaotic warzone, tasked with tracking down a militia warlord responsible for massacring an army unit.
Players, equipped with a turbo-charged arsenal of weapons including the G36 SMG, Super 90 Shotgun, grenades and proximity mines, must engage forces from all sides in blistering-paced gun-fights set amongst a shanty town.
A PlayStation 3 version of the Bodycount demo will launch soon.

See this is why I hate XBL. I don’t have a Gold account so I can’t even try out the Demo for at least another week. :/
Really, really want to play this as well. Might ring up a few friends to see if I can hog their 360’s for tonight.

Thanks for the heads-up. Real old-school style arcade shooting, but the gunplay is satisfying with good weight behind the weapons.
