The EU Blog has updated with news on what’s going to be in the next major update for Gran Turismo 5.
[drop2]”Firstly all ‘standard’ cars will now feature an interior view,” says the blog, with the caveat being that “the level of detail will vary from car to car.” Big change, though. “For the first time you will be able to literally get behind the wheel of all the cars in the game.”Other changes include Photo Travel Mode updates, shorter load times, a snappier menu (and better UI), improved physics and AI, support for the G25/G27 wheels and new online features.
You’ll also be able to save your progress during endurance races and come back later.
The update is available on the 11th of October – the same day as Microsoft’s Forza 4 – free of charge. New vehicles and tracks are expected to arrive shortly after as (presumably paid for) DLC.

Good to see they’re hard at work on this. As with loads of others, I’ll be tempted back to this over the next few weeks :)

These are very welcome updates. It’s taken awhile, but better late than never. Hopefully, Polyphony will continue to develop and improve GT5, so we can all witness it’s true potential.
