Warner Brothers’ Solution To Missing Catwoman DLC Codes

Earlier today we reported that gamers in the US and Australia were having multiple problems with the Catwoman DLC for Batman: Arkham City, including the game shipping with no code.  Those who have emailed Warner Brothers customer support ([email protected] or [email protected]) have been asked to provide the following:

  • A dated proof of purchase (receipt, invoice) showing the purchase of a NEW copy of the game (not a rented or used copy, nor a copy purchased from eBay).
  • Your gamertag for Xbox Live, or your profile for the PSN.
  • Your email address.
  • A scan or digital picture of the package and game disc(s).
  • A scan or digital picture of the code sheet (both sides).
  • Your first born child,  £3000 in unmarked bills, a video of you dancing the Fandango and Megan Fox’s phone number.*

Once these items have been supplied you should receive a working code for the Catwoman DLC which you can then download and watch as it corrupts so you cannot play the game at all.

In related news, Warner Bros has admitted that some Collector’s Editions have been shipped out with a DVD copy of Gotham Knight, rather than Blu-ray as was originally advertised.

Gamers in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium have now started reporting missing codes.

Friday will be very interesting.

  1. I’m definitely buying buying this game USED even if it has the same price! I want it like crazy, but If I ever give them my money to them, after cutting important stuff of the final product to sell them separately, denying them from off-line players and my friends I want lend my game to, I’ll never forgive my self.

Batman Archam City has the most and biggest Day one DLC’s I ever seen!

  2. Only TSA can pop a smile on our faces at such a frustrating time….Megan Fox’s number…..if only….

  3. Basically to sum it up. ITS a massive fuck up. Well done chaps, now make it free for all.

  4. The only way they can redeem themselves is by making the DLC free for all, and adding a patch to fix it.

  5. I just sent this e-mail to both adresses

    “Subject: DLC-disaster

    Hi there,

This mail just to let you know you screwed up the release of an AAA title perfectly by being greedy.

    That is all.”

    It felt great.

    • I’ve emailed Martin Lewis about the whole thing just to see if (consumer champ that he is) it tickles his interest. Felt similarly cathartic.

      • yeah, good call Jiko. I might try and find Charlie Brookers contact details to see what he has to say about it.

      • Equally good call, Mr Brookers ascerbic wit would be a welcome lens on this whole thing :D

  6. Bugger all a DVD not Blu Ray ffs, my special edition should arrive Friday/Saturday

  7. I proper Lol’ed at the last demand Tuffcub, and it’s first thing in the morning,Kudos:).

  8. i feel my decision to never buy this game new has been vindicated a little by this.

though i have the worrying suspicion that as usual the gaming industry will absolutely refuse to learn from it’s mistakes.
and once again the game buyers are the ones who will suffer for it.

  9. *continues villainous laugh from yesterday* What an absolute screw up. Serves them right. Free DLC please!

    • *continues evil henchman laugh, half a beat behind Daves*

This game release has become more like an episode of Monty Python with each passing revelation…

  10. I haven’t seen this answered anywhere else so please forgive me if duplicated:

“If (by some miracle) my Catwoman DLC does work, will this be available on my GF’s profile on the same machine, or will I need to pay for her to use this? I had a similar issue with AC:B last year with a pre-order bonus only showing on her profile.”

    • 360 or PS3? I seem to have more luck with things like this on my PS3.

      • PS3. Sorry just received my copy and the terms say that it is for the user only. So I now have to buy another version for her to play the full game.

Not happy with them about this.

      • :S that’s really crappy on their part. I can download plenty of PS+ content and my wife can use it on her profile (except avatars for some stupid reason that I still can’t figure out…)

Good to know either way. Thanks!
