Whilst the last time we heard of a Jak And Daxter remake collection was via a South African games retailer, nobody really thought that Sony would let this one pass. Remakes are all the rage, and Sony know this just as much as anyone.
Well, the so-called ‘collection’ has been rated by the USK, Germany’s ratings board, and will be called ‘Jak and Daxter Trilogy’ here in Europe. Sony will publish, and the games will be released for PlayStation 3.
No surprises, but a nice gesture from the publisher – the Jak and Daxter games, the first in particular, were brilliant, and as we’re assuming these will be in HD and 3D, all the more reason to give the action platformers another bash.
You’ll notice there’s no ‘Racing or the PSP titles, all of which were great fun. Perhaps there’ll be a second collection down the line…

I’m going to try and fit that phrase into a conversation today.

I still own (and semi-regularly play) the original PS2 versions, so this is a must buy. Even if it is mostly for the trophies ;)

Sold, Sold, and Sold again! Forget all the hours I have already spent on these games, I’m prepared to do it all again :D Masterclass games.

So having never played these before, should i be excited about this news?
That sounds quite depressing & i know a lot of others will be excited about this, but having never played them means i simply have no idea what they play like & whether it is something i should keep on my radar or just skip.

These games are among the best games I ever played for the PS2, in fact on that generation they were my favourite game series. There is so much to like, each game gets deeper and darker, the storyline gets really good with some great twists (most notably in Jak 2 and 3), the gameplay is simply fun, but never feeling “too simple”, there is a massive array of things to do in each game, including channeling eco (I know that means nothing lol), gunplay, racing, platforming and puzzling.
I really can’t sing these games praises enough.

Fantastic news, I loved the first one, but never played the others. Will be great to see them in HD, just hope they do them justice.
