Podcast: Episode 47

We’re fast approaching the holidays and a little mini break for the podcast crew. We won’t be casting between Christmas and the New Year so next week’s will be our last for a couple of weeks. We’ll be back in the new year though, and we’ll let you know what we get from Santa’s sack.

Until then, it’s business as usual. Well, almost. This week we decided to wing it and record without a running order. While that might all sound very exciting and impromptu, it actually means that I don’t have list to remind me what we talked about…

I think there was something about Mario Kart 7 in there because I remember cursing blue shells. Lewis definitely said that Dilemma wasn’t very good (I’m paraphrasing, obviously) and Kris and I had an enthusiastic chat about a comic book series called DMZ which is really good and you should all definitely read it.

Aside from that, and our usual mix of audio competition, quiz and listener’s questions, I have no idea what we waffled on about for so long. You’ll just have to listen and find out, won’t you?

It was all quite disorganised, really. I blame Kris’ PC, which was definitely being a bit of an arse and crashing fairly regularly.

  • To enter Lewis’ movie audio competition email your answers to lewisgaston[at]screendemon.com.
  • You can send questions via email to podcasts[at]thesixthaxis.com.
  • You can also tag your questions on Twitter with #tsacast and, provided you’re not on a private account, we’ll see them in our search each week. Finally, general TSA lunatic, SolidSteven, set up a questions thread in the forum.

This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.

  • As usual, you can grab the MP3 file here (right click to download).
  • You might want to get it (when the RSS catches us) on the RSS feed, here.
  • Or we’re on iTunes, when iTunes feels like updating. You can also leave us a review and subscribe there, if you want to be particularly lovely.

  1. Lewis was exempt because mince pies and christmas cake both contain fruit!

  2. I forgot to mention that Kev was absent this week. Hopefully he’s back for next week’s though!

    • I’ll be there with (christmas) bells on; it’s nobody’s birthday celebrations, I’ve moved house already, work Christmas party is out of the way, my Internet is holding out. Plain sailing. Famous last words?

      • Bubble, squeak, pingwin, spabbage. They could be your last words.

      • Have to feel bad for anyone whose last words were any of those. If you want famous last words, try something like, “don’t worry, the iceberg will come off worse”, or “grenades – 7 second fuse or 8?”, or the classic “hold my beer, and watch THIS!”.

      • “I’m ashamed of you, dodging that way. They couldn’t hit an elephant at this dist……” John Sedgwick – last words before being shot just below his left eye!

  3. Excellent episode guys. I suspect Kris will ragequit when he has to edit the christmas podcast which should have you all singing.

Bobby! I suspect that will be a new saying on the TSAcast.
