Sky Bringing Now TV To Consoles

Sky has announced that it will be launching the Now TV service for various devices, including consoles. Jeremy Darroch, Chief Executive of Sky said:

“We’ll offer two distinctive ways to watch: the market-leading full Sky service for the whole family, complete with the widest range of channels, high quality products like Sky+, HD and Sky Go, and the peace of mind of a monthly bill; or the flexible, more spontaneous, pay-as-you-go service.  Starting with movies, it will soon expand to offer sport and entertainment as well.”

The service is expected to launch this summer, with Sky encouraging people to sign up for news on the new service here. This move will see Sky coming into direct competition with Lovefilm and Netflix in regards to movies. A pricing structure for Now TV is yet to be revealed.

  1. of all the ways i could describe how i feel about bills, peace of mind was never one of them. o_O

    anyway.

if the pricing is right i could be interested, sky have some stuff i like, but i don’t really want to pay the full sub for a load of stuff i’d never watch.

but then there’d need to be a ps3 version, because i’m not paying for live so i can then pay again to watch tv.
