Just a week to go now until we start finding out for certain what this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo will bring. Some of us here have been indulging in plenty of rampant speculation about exactly what Sony intend to surprise us with.
As part of the build-up here at TSA we try to inject a little fun into all the pre-E3 speculation with our little game of E3 Bingo. You all get the chance to play along every year and in addition the staff and contributors get the same chance to get things spectacularly wrong (if history is anything to go by).
In a few days we will be revealing which of the items from this year’s list of picks the collective wisdom of you, our readers, think most likely to occur. First up however it is time to set ourselves up for a fall by letting you know what we all chose.

Those numbers by themselves do not say much. It is far more interesting to use those numbers to show what our own collective ‘wisdom’ predicts are the most likely things to go down at E3 from the available list.
Here then are the items that were picked by at least a third of us in order of popularity. The number in brackets at the end is how many times it was picked.

1. Kazunori Yamauchi appears on-stage to talk about Gran Turismo Vita. {5}

3. New The Last Guardian trailer or gameplay footage shown. {4}
20. Sorcery is playable on the show floor. {4}
37. Crytek’s Ryse played at Microsoft’s press conference. {4}
39. Xbox 360′s successor announced at Microsoft’s press conference. {4}
51. Super Mario Galaxy 3 will be a Wii U launch title. {4}

I suspect they are all pretty safe bets except perhaps for 1, 3 and 39. It must be pretty certain that Sony will bring their premier driving franchise to the PS Vita but will it take precedence over GT6? The appearance of The Last Guardian on the list may well be more down to our hopes for Team Ico’s latest rather than any firm belief the game will be there.
And a new Xbox? The rumours refuse to die despite official denials from Microsoft so who knows. They are working on one but will they show it next week?
How Well Badly We’ve Done In Previous Years
Now before we read too much into our ‘predictions’, which on the whole look reasonably sane (though I would say that having made up the original list) you should consider how well it’s turned out for us in the past. Remember these are scores out of 12! (Dashes don’t mean a score of zero, just that that person didn’t play that year, probably because they weren’t writing for TSA at the time.)

Of the current crowd Josh’s 8 last year stands as our best score and the only one over half marks! Our best ever score though was Zuler’s 10 back when he used to write the odd trophy-related article for us a couple of years ago.

Perhaps it won’t be, precisely because it’s already out and peoples’ focus is elsewhere on shiny new games?
I included it and Starhawk as I suspect Sony might include them as they’re two of the more recent PS3 games if they don’t have much else to show us… :)

i just doubt they’ll talk about it much at the conference, if at all.

20 is not a prediction, it’s a given. I’ve already seem the box at retail in Canada, so it’ll be playable on the show floor as it’s one of the few relevant Move titles. Putting it into a Bingo is like cheating :).
