GameInformer has revealed details about PS Vita exclusive, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.

The title will release alongside Assassin’s Creed III and will star female assassin, Aveline. The game will be a stand alone entry and will not be a part of Desmond’s story.
Being developed by Ubisoft Sofia, the game will span a 15 year period between 1765 to 1780, and take place in New Orleans. Liberation will also feature multiplayer, which will take advantage of the Vita tech.
The Ubisoft E3 Press Conference is tonight at 11pm and we expect a more in depth look at the title.

Just having a Assassin’s Creed game on my Vita is all I need to convince me to buy it.
Ossy
Nice to see a big 3rd party title announced for Vita. Expensive though 2 assassin creed games in one day.

More games like this please. Can’t wait for 2am now! Come on Sony, show us some more Vita loving!!!

Apparently it’s also meant to take place in New Orleans, looking forward to hearing more about it later.

I hope this is true – exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for.

Finally a female protagonist. This will make Hazelam happy, I guess. ;)
I hope we get more information about this game during the press conference.
hazelam
indeed it will.

Oh shit she looks like a pirate. Please be about pirates. I would be all over that.

Hope it is about Pirates as we need a decent pirate based game. Hope it be completely different and won’t be AC:B or AC:R just with pirates.

AC:3 with pirates?
The Lone Steven
Wouldn’t mind it being AC3 with pirates as i think AC3 is set in the same period and the new gameplay would be acceptable. :) In fact, i think it may take place alongside AC3 and may have cameos from both main characters from both games.
damoxuk
Possibly considering it also takes place around the Gulf of Mexico maybe a mini game of ship to ship combat hehe.
The Lone Steven
AC is perfect for that! In fact, why hasn’t Ubi done a pirate themed AC before? :O If there are no pirates, i’ll be raging along with Kris. And it would be enough to get me to buy a sequel to a main series game. Such as AC2 had AC:B and AC:R.

New Orleans should be a decent setting for am Assassin’s Creed game if it bears any similarity to the the New Orleans inspired setting of New Marais from Infamous 2.
