Ordinarily, we’d assume this is a placeholder. Online retailers often list things speculatively in order to tempt a pre-order from customers. This one has a few too many details, though.
Amazon’s US site has listed a Collector’s Edition for God of War Ascension and with it, some details of what fans can expect for the listed price of $79.99. The listing is dated for release on March 12th 2013 but the standard edition is listed for December 31st 2013 so perhaps we shouldn’t put too much store in that date.
For just $20 more than standard retail price, if this turns out to be an accurate listing, you’ll get all of the goodies listed below.

- Premium Steelbook case
- Official Game Soundtrack (digital version)
- PS3 Dynamic Theme
- PSN Avatar Pack
- Multiplayer Double XP Unlock
- Pass for future DLC content
The listing also uses the below image as a box shot, it’s obviously not final but could this be an approximation of the cover art?

Most likely. Similar to the season passes for Gears of War/Forza/Uncharted I’d guess.
