PSN Suffering From ‘Intermittent Issue’

The PlayStation Network is currently ‘experiencing issues’ with some users finding they cannot access the Store or log in.

I have just tried the store via my Vita and it is just displaying a blue screen.

Sony’s online service suffered similar problems last Thursday so perhaps we should start thinking up a snappy name. Timeout Thursday? Twonked Thursday? Suggestions below please.

As usual, engineers working on the problem and we will let you know when full service has been restored.

  2. Holy crap – I know its technically a free service, but it surely shouldn’t be this shoddy!

  3. Doesn’t PSN always break when its a Call of Duty DLC release day?

    • Yeah usually – Not sure how that explains today though??

      • Because the new map pack is out today.

  4. what exactly do they do during these maintenance periods?

feed the mice and let them out of the wheels for a few hours?

they do know maintenance isn’t just giving it a light dusting, right?

  5. I get in and it says ‘Your password is no longer valid. You must change your password.’

Really weird, never seen that before. Option is to ‘OK’ but after about 30 seconds an error occurs and I’m kicked out…

    • That’s been happening the past few weeks on and off, I just cancelled/returned to XMB, tried logging in again and it worked with the original log in details. {:~O
