We’ve been fawning over thatgamecompany’s releases since flOw. Flower was a firm favourite among many staff members and Journey seems to have exceeded all expectations for critical and commercial success. To put it bluntly, we adore thatgamecompany.
So, it’s with a heavy heart that we impart the news of their upcoming collection‘s absence from European shores. The company has just tweeted some more details about the collection, among which, they confirm that it’s not set to get a European release at all.
I’m a little bit annoyed that I won’t be able to see the documentary or hear the creator commentaries but perhaps SCEE will have the sense to get that stuff on the PSN Store quickly for Europe, before the inevitable torrents appear.
It’s coming at the end of August (28th) to North America and it’ll be disc based, although they’re unclear as to whether the soundtracks might be on the disc (to install Mp3s to your PS3’s XMB) or in the form of a code to download them. The disc will cost $29.99 and will be region free, so if anyone does want to import it, that’s an option.

considering the US PSN store had a big sale on all TGC stuff (a few weeks before EU store had one on the games) including soundtracks, avatars, themes etc – most US people that want it could already have most of what is in this collection
typical though supporters of their games in other regions get shafted in order to chase the US market
