Video games that feed off popular television or movie licenses have always taken somewhat of a beating. It’s fair to say that, in the past few years, there has been a notable improvement, though the stigma of abject disappointment and wasted potential is still firmly rooted.
Hopefully this won’t be the case for Reef Entertainment’s Rambo: The Videogame. Announced for PC and consoles, the title is set to make its first “playable” appearance at Gamescom 2012. Aside from that, we have little else to go on bar an official statement Reef Entertainmnet’s Craig Lewis.
According to the commercial director, their newest game will allow players to “really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon-set in battle.’ Hopefully this connotes that Rambo: The Video Game will include a number of survival/improvised gameplay elements and won’t just be a movie-themed vanilla shooter.
