Gamescom is a time for releasing virtual buckets full of assets, apparently. These screens and character sheets are for the upcoming Marvel Heroes MMO, which has a storyline “crafted” by Brian Michael Bendis.
It’s a free-to-play MMO with action RPG elements and they’re showing it off to media behind closed doors in Cologne. I think it’s safe to say that there will be plenty of costume options but it will be interesting to see how they implement that MMO staple – loot – into a game where characters don’t really need weapons or armour or magical gemstones.
There’s no firm release date yet.
