Ubisoft have released a ‘survival trailer’ for Far Cry 3 which gives tips on how to stay alive.
It helpfully points out that psychopaths and drugs are dangerous and that guns are quite a good way to dispatch enemies.
If you are squeamish you may want to avert your eyes when the character snaps his thumb back in to place and there is a lovely first person view of being eaten by a crocodile.

I have slight concern with the guy floating a couple of cm off the ground at 1:25 and onwards but I am sure that will get fixed within the “delayed time”
To think we could have been playing this tomorrow :(

I want this game more every time I see it. I can’t help but expect great things, it looks like it’s going to deliver on what Far Cry 2 could have been.

Tell me about it. Far Cry 2 was a good game, if you got into it (and I mean, it takes a LOT of time to get into it) but Far Cry 3 looks absolutely amazing in my eyes ;)

Agreed on Far Cry 2 – I had a decent time with it. My only real niggle with it was the constantly respawning enemies at checkpoints. If they just do away with that, i’ll be happy! :)

I agree with Gamoc. I’ve wanted this game since it was announced but every damned video they release for it fuels that want and now it’s turning into a need lol. I always got a sick thrill out of FC2’s animations for healing yourself (pulling shards of metal from your flesh, snapping joints back into place, franticaly patting out flames on burning limbs etc) and I’m glad to see it making a return. I also like the way it seems the island exists outside of your presence as a player (animals hunting each other, people going about their own business etc). Insane Edition here I come :)
