Overhaul Games’ President Trent Oster has announced that ‘Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition’ has been delayed until November 2012. Writing in a post on the Baldur’s Gate forums Trent Oster said:
“After recently reviewing the game and then consulting with our partners, we’ve decided to ensure that Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition is the best possible product on launch. Thus, we have pushed back the release date of the game. Our plan is to release in November, 2012.
To all who have pre-ordered, we ask for your patience as we move toward our final release date — and we will be working on something a little extra for you. To all who have volunteered, we thank you for your dedication and support. “
As the statement says, those who pre-order the Enhanced Edition will received something extra, though what that will be is yet to be confirmed.  The game is an update of the original Baldur’s Gate title, including new characters, locations and over 400 improvements.

It’s not that ‘enhanced’ looking at recent screenshots.

Only enhanced to the standard of BG2 but better than nothing! Plus there’s an additional 20hrs of new content that wasn’t in the original. This makes me a happy gamer :D

Still hope there’ll be a PS3 version at some point. Or a Vita version, since they already developed a touch control interface for the iPads
