UK Games Charts: 17/09/12 – Sleeping Dogs Beats Tekken

Sleeping Dogs has seen an eight per cent increase over last week’s sales to hold on to the top spot. That’s in spite of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, with it’s excellent online capabilities, being frechly released.

Elsewhere in the charts, London 2012 continues to perform well and boxed copies of Guild Wars 2 doing so well must mean that – when digital purchases are included – it is doing extremely well.

Max Payne 3 makes an astronomical rise back up to tenth from forty-eighth in the charts on the back of a 129 per cent increase in sales thanks to a price cut. Next week, we’ll see the release of PES 2013 and Borderlands 2 to shake up the charts and from then on until December, there will be plenty of new released in the rundown each week.

  1. This gets said every week at the moment but it’s great to see some actual games in the top 20 charts :)

  2. Excellent work for Sleeping Dogs but after three weeks Transformers FOC is out of the top twenty? Guess there will not be a third game

    • FOC is a good game but needed to be released with a £30 price point imo. Most Transformers games are lousey so I would imagine a £40 price tag is probably putting most people off.

      • As a Transformers fan I like it a lot, much better than the first game and plenty of injokes (almost pissed myself laughing when Grimmers and Snarl had the Ceasium Salami banter).

Also there is literally nothing more awesome than playing a giant robotic T-rex stomping through a city in the sky at full speed.

      • What he said ^
Transformers is awesome even in multiplayer and Escalation.

  3. surge in max payne sales may be due to its recent price drop
£20.00 in quite a few places

  4. Waiting for Borderlands 2 to come out. Won’t buy anything until I’m done with that.

  5. Clearly people know that FIFA 13 is out soon, as I don’t think I’ve ever seen FIFA 12 so low in the chart.

  6. Will be interesting to see out of the 2 new releases; F1 and Borderlands 2 which comes out on top. I reckon BL2, but F1 is growing steadily.

    • Although I’m not getting Borderlands a still think it will out sell F1 2012.

  7. Im really happy that Sleeping Dogs is doing so well as its a stunning game from start to finish, and what finish the game had, one of the best endings since Red Dead.

  8. Sleeping Dogs is awesome. I have just got the Platinum early today and what a fantastic gaming experience that is with great combat, great driving, great scenery and fantastic characters and the story.
    Just Brilliant.
Next is Borderlands 2 for me,
