Nomura Hints At Kingdom Hearts II HD

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix has been announced, but what of the sequel, Kingdom Hearts II?

In an interview with Famitsu, director Tetsuya Nomura was asked if there was a chance the second game would be getting an HD polish and he replied “It’d be unusual if there wasn’t.”

It is a shame Square Enix is not packaging both Kingdom Hearts games together but perhaps even more of a shame that there is still no sign of a new Kingdom Hearts title for consoles.

  1. I just want FFX HD. :(

    • I agree fully with this post :P I’ve been waiting for FFX HD for ages!!

      • Agreed. How long has it been since they announced it?

Honestly thought as long as it’s a good update and preferably has trophy support (with some ridiculously hard ones) then I’m cool with waiting.

Though by this point it would be nice if it was PS4 compatible, I doubt my PS3 will be in service very long after that and I don’t much fancy re-buying it. Again.

I’d also do some dirty things for a HD XII; that was my favourite combat system by far, I spend hours just configuring my gambits… Good times.

      • I know! I played it through again about 4 months ago as I was so impatient for the HD release. Completely fell in love again, and cried my eyes out at the ending. I literally cannot watch it without crying :p

I then proceeded to train like mad so I could take out the dark aeon bosses, but I just gave up in the end as I couldn’t be bothered to keep training. However, when the HD version comes out, those bosses are fair game! ^^

  2. i’d like them to confirm a western release for the first one before hinting at the sequel.

  3. Isn’t KH 1.5 only for Japan anyway?

  4. And where’s FF Versus XIII? My god, Square-Enix is making it difficult to be a fan of theirs this generation. Oh wait, they completely lost me after prioritizing XIII-2 over Versus XIII.

  5. I would turn away from all the afforementioned games for a PROPERLY-UPDATED version of Brave Fencer Musashi. That was my favorite PS1 game of all time.
