Final Fantasy X HD is still coming to Vita. I’ll be honest, I’d almost forgotten it was happening. But, this morning, Sony Japan mentioned in their Vita showcase that it was on the way and now we’ve got some shiny new screens for it.
This is, ostensibly, the game running on a PS Vita. The screens came from All Games Beta, which never posts its sources but seems to often dump previously unseen screens online. Looks a little bit blurry but that may be because they were captured from a video, rather than directly from the game.

The reason I got a Vita in the first place! Happy days these are. But doesn’t Yuna look a bit mean with the darker eyebrows here? This alone might make me get the PS3 version as well. It’s not a joke people.

At least we have something after all this time. People are saying that the screenshots look terrible but they will when they have been pulled from a livestream video. I think this will look great once it’s out

Absolutely correct – any still grabbed from a moving video is going to look a bit blurred and fuzzy – like these.
Capturing from source would give a much better impression and we expect those shots pretty soon :)

I’ve seen video and I still think it looks like a lazy upscale job. I’m wondering what takes them so long if it’s not a complete remake.

I actually expected better graphics.
Not sure I’ll be getting this. Some people praise FFX as the pinnacle of the series (or at least the last great entry) but X-2 ruined that picture and IX was just so much better overall.
Lover XI, hated XII and actually enjoyed XIII (and XIII-2 but less than XIII).
Versus XIII or GTFO, Square Enix!

I expected more too (looking at the vid on news snatch). And as I said there…. better not be Vita only. That would be a poor move sales wise imo.

It should be fairly easy to port the game from the Vita to a PS3. Business wise they would be mad not to do it. I’m also pretty sure I’ve read that it is also coming to the PS3 as I talked about it with my brother and he said he’d be getting the PS3 version and I’d consider the Vita version.
Surely they just wanted to focus on the Vita in this showcase.

I heard about this but thought it was cancelled for the Vita. Nice to know its coming along nicely. Never played FFX so soon it will be my chance.
