God Of War: Ascension Update Fixes Audio, Improves Multiplayer

Sony Santa Monica has announced that patch 1.04 for God of War: Ascension is on its way. Among numerous enhancements to the game’s multiplayer component, the developer is stating that this latest update will also fix audio issues that players have encountered.

Various message boards and feedback pages suggest that, in some cases, both music and dialogue would drop completely at random intervals during the campaign. Ascension’s multiplayer also suffers from a minor audio bug which lowers the game’s overall volume whenever playing online.

Speaking of online play, Santa Monica has revealed that Ascension’s current level cap of 30 will soon be upped to 40, ushering in a wave of new magic abilities, items and relics for each of the game’s four deities. 1.04 could also include “Elite Levels” which are likely to be some form of Prestige mode, allowing players who have hit the level cap to progress even further in their online careers.

Other additions include the ability to view online stats from the main menu, improved matchmaking, and alterations to the drop-rate of shards. Gathered from chests, these in-game collectibles are needed to unlock certain weapons and armour pieces to customise your online avatar.

A launch date for 1.04 has yet to be confirmed as are details surrounding the game’s first batch of premium DLC.

  1. I had that happen to me, with the audio. I had just bought new headphones so assumed it was a problem there.

  2. Why can’t they fix the screentear-bug with the time-manipulating thingy?

  3. Don’t think i’ve experienced any issues so far.
