Ah, so after all the back and forth discussion over the last few weeks and months about Gran Turismo 6 being a PlayStation 3 exclusive and never appearing on the PS4, studio director and Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has tonight put the cat among the pigeons.
“We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind,” he said, speaking to IGN from Silverstone where the game was revealed for PS3 this evening, “but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”
Previously it was assumed that the game would only be for PS3, not least because it would surely bite into DriveClub’s chance of success on the platform. Now though? Well, who knows?
“I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios and new DLC,” said Yamauchi. “Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PS4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario.”
Yamauchi also said that progress would “probably” copy over from PS3 to PS4.

Sounds to me like they will release on PS3 then gradually release new cars and tracks as DLC for months then, when the PS4 is established, release a ‘complete’ edition with everything included.
I love GT. I’d like to say I’ll wait but I won’t. Don’t tell Polyphony but I’l basically buy everything!

Well it doesn’t bite into DriveClub’s chance of success as far as I’m concerned as the latest GT bored the pants off me. A PS4 GT release or not I’m gonna give Drive Club a butchers! I’m off… VRRROOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
