Following our reveal that Gran Turismo 6 would be making an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (which starts tomorrow) we can now also exclusively add that the famous hillclimb course (in its entirety) will also feature in the PS3 exclusive game.
You can see it (the real life version) in the video above.

We’re expecting something official on this shortly, hopefully with more screenshots (there’s one with an AMG here and the one above) but failing that our man Dan is down on the track this week, and hopefully will return with footage. A special version of the game is to be playable at the Festival.
You can read about the hillclimb here.
Update: Sony have pushed out a press release. It mentions a new GT6 demo for the Festival crowd, featuring a “range of stunningly recreated cars to race up the virtual version of ‘the Hill’.”
“I have always been a huge admirer of the Festival of Speed and what Lord March has achieved,” explains Polyphony Digital President and legendary creator of Gran Turismo, Kazunori Yamauchi, “I love the incredible range of cars on display – from the priceless, rare and exotic, to the latest family hatchback and full on racing cars – I love the challenge of the Hill Climb and the rally stage.”
“Goodwood represents every type of motoring and motor sport which very much mirrors what we aim to achieve with Gran Turismo and so it is very special that we have forged this partnership. There will be no better feedback than that provided by the Goodwood fans to tell me if we are heading in the right direction with Gran Turismo 6!”
The PR says that festival goers will be able to race or cruise up the hillclimb on a “special demo version of Gran Turismo 6 installed on PlayStation ‘race pods’ at The Goodwood Road Racing Club, The Family Area and Goodwood Hotel.”

The GT series has been missing point to point races, the hill climb should be good.

Best. News. Ever! Can’t wait to drive the Red Bull X2011 up that hill! I’m sure it will end with blood-stained hay bales… :P

Excellent! Let’s hope there’ll be more hill climb tracks aswell (and downhill) like Pikes Peak.

What a guess! I should’ve put money on that, same as I should’ve put money on Lisicki beating Williams. There’s a gambling addiction on the horizon.

This is good news, shame I can’t go the Goodwood this year
