Nintendo have rolled out a small update to the recently released Wii U eShop title, NES Remix – adding support for new control methods including the Wiimote, Wii U Pro Controller & the Classic Controller.

Curiously, when the title launched earlier this month the only controller input for the re-imagined 1980’s classics was the Wii U’s newfangled table-like GamePad – which whilst allowing for some intuitive input, did feel a bit out of place when playing the likes of Excite Bike, or Donkey Kong.

Nice! I’m planning on picking up a Pro controller for Mario Kart, but with this and Donkey Kong supporting it, I may get one sooner.
The only thing is, I already own four Wiimotes with nunchucks and two old Wii Classic Controller Pros. It’ll be a lot of controllers in the end. And this is next to a PS3 and PS4…
