It appears Sony is getting ready to launch a new MMO soon as a teaser site for something called H1Z1 has gone live. There’s not much clue as to what the game will be about, but the image presented is pretty spooky. A full moon illuminates an unlit settlement while a nice shroud of mist tries to conceal as much as possible.
To me it gives off a bit of a Silent Hill vibe, and since all the lights are out either everyone is asleep or society has collapsed. H1Z1 sounds like a play on H1N1, also known as swine flu, so it could be that a flu like virus has killed off most of the population and turned others into zombies. That would explain the Z in the title. That’s all just guesswork though, and we’ll have to wait and see what this game actually is. Maybe Sony is trying to take on the popular Day Z.
