A new gameplay trailer was shown for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. The trailer showed a mission dubbed ‘Griffin Hunt’ from around 10 hours into the game. In it, the player uses their advanced senses to detect the target, first by using a feather, then by using its blood once it has been struck it for the first time.

The trailer goes on to show a the final battle between the player and the griffin, showing fluid fighting, where the player makes use of the bread and butter of action-RPG fighting techniques, including dodge rolls, sword attacks and fire-based magical attacks.

The area it was set in, called No Man’s Land, spanned a large distance, where the player is able to travel to any piece of scenery that they can see, including the distant mountains in the gameplay trailer and beyond.

The next instalment in the RPG series is due for release in February 24th 2015.

  1. If it looks that good on the Xbox one, can’t wait to see it on the PS4.

    • IF. That could have been from PC. Still looking forward to it though!

  2. Anyone know if this game is third-person only? When a game looks that good i would prefer to explore in first-person but it’s certainly not a deal-breaker.
