There’s been a lot of rumours about both Journey and The Unfinished Swan making their way to the PS4, and now that news has finally been confirmed on the PS Blog. Both games have been tinkered with so they’ll run in 1080p on the console, with studio Tricky Pixels working on the Journey upgrade. Armature Studios was tasked with bringing over The Unfinished Swan to the PS4. The blog post itself doesn’t say anything about cross buy, but the trailer description on Youtube has the following statement in it.
Get more for your money with Cross-Buy – purchase this game for PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 and get the other version at no extra cost.
So we can guess that Journey will at least support the option, and we have to wait for confirmation on The Unfinished Swan. Journey is expected to launch later this year, and The Unfinished Swan is playable at Gamescom but we’re not sure of the release date yet.

It’ll be an absolute joy playing these games on PS4. I love them both.

Awesome news! I know a lot of people want new games, and I do too, but I’m pretty excited to be able to play these gems again on my shiny new box just as I am with TLOU.

Fantastic! Sony doing well to plug gaps, for free for some, before 2015. Cannot wait to play through Journey again!
