Evolution Studios have posted another update regarding the Driveclub server performance and although things are getting better, there are still problems.
As more servers come online and regular server updates are rolling out we are steadily improving connectivity for everybody.
Improving server performance is taking time, which is frustrating for all of us, but please understand that we are doing everything we can to get all aspects of online play up and running smoothly as quickly as possible.
We’ve also made changes today in Multiplayer to ensure that there are more events available to you, and that you have more variety when you choose to race with and against other drivers online.
We will keep you up to date as we improve server performance for all aspects of online play. Thank you again for your support while this work continues.
It looks like the PlayStation Plus version of the game is a rather long way off, “PS Plus Edition news will come as soon as we have concrete info – sorry to keep you all waiting,” say Evolution.

I was really looking forward to trying out the plus version but I’m rapidly loosing interest. Still, at least they’re being honest and keeping those who purchased it in the loop and not just bullshitting them.

Well said, I’ve been impressed with Evolution’s communication to their customers. Compare that with CA/Sega with Alien Isolation with has game-breaking technical bugs and gameplay bugs and communication has been one message of “we are aware of it” then they release DLC…

It’s strange to hear so many of you are still having issues with DC, its worked perfectly for me for about 10 days, with only the challenges being locked out. Game boots and I’m connected within a few seconds and all online races connect after a few minutes. I’ve never come across any bugs mentioned by others while racing, ever, and I don’t understand the moaning about penalty deductions either. You only get 200 points taken off you each time you crash, its peanuts. Drive better, don’t crash and rake in the points. If you don’t like the game or have lost patience, sell it on and move on to another game. Its hardly the end of the world.

All works for me too apart from the challenges which I don’t think they’ve enabled yet (if not properly). I must admit though, the leaderboards don’t appear to be very accurate.

Yeah leader boards are still ropey but like I said its strange to hear the problems people are still having. Maybe its because I’m only 10 miles away from Runcorn (Newton-le-Willows) and closer to Evolutions server farm (joke).

Well my club level is 29 and I have already reached my level limit – 50
The multiplayer is there just small error issues but you will find a race within a minute or 2
Obviously they are still working as during the week my multiplayer events were limited to Performance and Sport vehicles only!
All I have left for the Platinum are Challenges.
They are getting there just a question of when lol.

So after downloading today i’ve managed to get online every time i’ve tried, albeit only 5 or 6 times, without any problem. My only complaint would be that it’s a bit slow from lobby to race sometimes.
Good fun game though.

I’m loving it, tour is tight. When all the functioning are running it’s gonna go up a level.
Evo have a big task ahead of them and I still wish them well in getting things sorted. Clearly they are really trying and experiencing real problems so we really should give them time to fix them.
It’s not unheard of and it sounds like a genuine surprising issue on their part.
I mean Fifa 15 has been fucked since day one and I don’t hear everyone crying about it?
Patience is sometimes what is warranted. For everyone that wants the Plus version, trust me, if you want a no nonsense racer for free. Wait it out as it well worth the patience. Failing that, buy it as it’s a great game :-)
