Warlock 2: The Exiled Giveaway Winners

In Warlock 2: The Exiled, you take on the mantle of an ousted magic wielder, hellbent on getting revenge on those who did them wrong, building an empire and waging war across multiple planed of a fractured world. The game has just got bigger, and to celebrate the release of the Wrath of the Nagas expansion earlier this week, we ran a little competition to giveaway the fantasy themed 4X game.

In order to enter, we asked you to do retweets, leave comments and tell us what you’d like to do if you had a single spell that could do anything, in order to earn up to three entries. I particularly enjoyed some of the fevered fantasies that the likes of MA77_G0D and MrYd shared with us, as well as the more practical attempts to use magic in order to win the actual competition, but in the end it was the mischievous gods of Random.org that would decide your fate.

The winners drawn at random were:

  • Psychobudgie – who forgot to share a spell, but won anyway.
  • @redk3tchup – who hails from the lands of Twitter.
  • Shrui – who I hope is saved from the pits of a midlife crisis by playing the game.
  • Hazelam – who’s basically just disappointed that Phantasy Star Online isn’t out in the west.
  • kjkg – who I hope manages to fulfil his dream of growing a proper beard.

Congratulations to these five new warlocks. I’ve already been in touch via email and twitter, so if you’ve not spotted my messages just yet, make sure to check your spam box!

As for the rest of you, I hope you’re all busy trying to draw your best/worst Alien

  1. Congrats on the winners :)
I am finished with my Alien drawing will post after El Classico match!

  2. Congratulations, winners, but be warned! Your puny prizes shall be no match for my army of laser squirrels on ponies!

Also, if anyone has an army of laser squirrels they could lend me, that would be much appreciated. And I have a need for some ponies too. I’ll return them, relatively intact. I just need them for a thing I’m doing.

    • lol I’ll keep an lookout, you continue your book of folks and their inventions back in the 1800s

      • No, I’m turning my knowledge of 19th century inventors into a long-running BBC sitcom. The sort of sitcom that ends about 10 years after everyone thought it did.

Each week, a different inventor will come up with some new idea that goes wrong, with hilarious consequences. Episode one will star some actor you probably recognise from an advert for something as Mr Brian Hover.

An American attempt to remake it will result in a disastrous pilot episode nobody is ever allowed to see and promises never to put a talking bear into a historical sitcom ever again. A promise which will be broken the very next year when Eddie Izzard stars in a historical sitcom about Queen Victoria, set in a Boston bar. As both the queen and the talking bear.

      • actually that sounds kind of awesome, i’d watch that.

Eddie Izzard as both Queen Victoria and a talking bear?
that has win written all over it.

      • Ooh, the talking bear could take it’s bear helmet off to reveal Eddie Izzard’s long lost twin brother, Clare Balding rapping to the “Rice Rice baby” Müller style!
        Too surreal :P

      • No, that’d be wrong. I can’t stand that woman.

But it seems unlikely she’d appear in an American remake of an imaginary sitcom, doesn’t it? Eddie Izzard, sure, he pops up in lots of American things (last I saw of him was in the wonderful Hannibal). But evil horse abuser lesbian? No, not even in imaginary things.

      • Eddie’s soon to be seen in Powers as well, looking forward to that.

  3. Congrats winners!

  4. correction, i’m very disappointed.

but winning makes me happy. ^_^

thanks guys, oh, and i guess thanks random.org.
